BAM CONSTRUCT UK

BAM Construct UK  have been a huge supporter of our Shed since they arrived at the new Stobhill Hospital site in January 2019. We had contacted the Project Management Team to ask if we could collect unwanted wooden pallets and any timber off-cuts which would otherwise end up in landfill. Paul Allen and Michael Hannan visited our Shed and asked what else they could do to help us. Our Men's Shed is a large steel Nissen building without any heating or insulation and we mentioned we had just missed out on funding to purchase a Portakabin for the guys to shelter in during the winter months. One week later we received a call asking us to visit the BAM site. Paul & Michael told us their directors had agreed to donate us two Portakabin's and they would also deliver them to the Park. Over the next year BAM donated us lots of construction materials that would have otherwise ended up in landfill. 

Last year, BAM Construct UK won a nationally recognised Community Investment Award for their excellent community engagement with our Men's Shed.
